R E & S Baldwin Ltd are a family run company based in the North West of England who specialise in growing arable crops, wheat, rape seed and oats. Over the past few years our farming business has been forced to diversify, and it was with great regret that the family made a huge decision to sell its herd of Limousin cows, Belgium Blue Bulls and cross bred calves in 2018. A purpose built unique cattle housing shed/unit for calving over 250 cross bred calves was erected in 2012, this building has now been altered to store quality PAS 100 compost and manufactured soils which are now marketed through Baldwin’s Landscapes Supplies.

Here we produce PAS 100 Quality compost, which is derived from grass clippings and greenwaste materials.

These materials are shredded and composted to 25mm over an 8 week period in a carefully controlled area on site. The finished product is analysed on a regular basis to comply with the exacting “Public Available Specification 100”.

Our product is made entirely from recycled materials, and is ideal for raised beds, borders and for use as a soil conditioner.

Baldwin’s Landscape Supplies also supply Black Gold Blend which is a PAS 100 compost and sand mix. This is perfect for maintaining healthy and strong plants, and ideal for making borders, new beds or raised beds, where the natural soil is poor or non-existent.
